Starting April 12, 2025, Swiss airline Edelweiss, a member of the Lufthansa Group, will launch direct flights between Zurich and Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport. The airline will operate twice a week using Airbus A320 aircraft, introducing Zurich as a new destination in Georgia’s aviation market.
Irakli Karkashadze, General Director of the Union of Georgian Airports, shared the news following two years of negotiations with Edelweiss. “We are delighted to welcome another European airline to Tbilisi. Zurich is an entirely new route for Georgian aviation, and Edelweiss, known for its focus on resort destinations, will help attract high-spending tourists from Switzerland,” Karkashadze stated.
A subsidiary of Swiss International Airlines, Edelweiss serves 90 destinations across Europe and the Americas. Tickets are available on the Edelweiss website (flyedelweiss.com) and Swiss International Airlines (swiss.com).
