Georgian wines were presented in Tokyo with the support of the Georgian National Wine Agency and the SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards international competition.
The event comprised two key segments: a Georgian wine presentation and tasting session, along with a master class highlighting the art of pairing these exceptional wines with traditional Japanese cuisine.
Ana Godabrelidze, Chair of the Tasting Commission at the National Wine Agency, and Tamta Kvelaidze from the Agency’s Marketing and PR Department led the event.
Teimuraz Lezhava, Georgia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Japan, was also in attendance.
Now in its 11th year, the SAKURA Japan Women’s Wine Awards competition continues to grow. The Agency emphasized that Georgia’s participation will help boost the recognition and appeal of Georgian wines in both the Japanese market and the wider Southeast Asia region.
