Global real estate giant EMAAR Group, through its subsidiary Eagle Hills, officially opened its office in Georgia, marking one of the largest foreign investments in the country’s history. The projects — Tbilisi Waterfront and Gonio Yachts & Marina — represent a combined investment of USD 6.5 billion, set to create over 30,000 jobs and attract more than 350,000 visitors annually.
During the ceremony, Mohamed Alabbar, founder of EMAAR Group, praised Georgia’s impressive economic growth, calling it “one of the highest in the world.”
“You are achieving remarkable results — 7 to 9 percent growth — something very few countries can match,” Alabbar said. “This success comes from sound policy, strong teamwork, and the warm, trusting relationship
you extend to investors.”
According to EMAAR, the developments will significantly boost Georgia’s GDP and generate more than USD 10 billion in foreign direct investment.
Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze hailed the initiative as a “historic milestone” for Georgia, emphasizing that the USD 6 billion-plus investment reflects global confidence in the country’s economic policies.
“Eagle Hills’ decision to enter Georgia is the largest direct foreign investment in our independent history,” Kobakhidze noted. “It reaffirms that Georgia offers a stable, predictable, and attractive environment for international investors.”
The Prime Minister highlighted that the Tbilisi project will transform Krtsanisi into a new “green city,” while the Batumi development will reshape the Black Sea coast into a premier luxury destination.
Both leaders underscored that the partnership between Georgia and EMAAR Group symbolizes shared values of innovation, trust, and sustainable growth — marking the beginning of a new chapter in Georgia’s urban and economic development.
