This year, Georgian wine has been showcased at approximately 250 international events held across 20 countries. To strengthen export potential and diversify global markets, the National Wine Agency provided both financial and organisational support for these activities.
In the first nine months of 2025, Georgian wines were presented at 21 international trade shows and festivals, accompanied by around 220 tasting seminars hosted in the USA, Europe, and Asia.
According to the National Wine Agency, 13 wine tours were also organised within Georgia during the same period, attracting international wine professionals. These tours offered wine masters, experts, sommeliers, and industry representatives from Germany, Japan, China, the United Kingdom, the United States, and other countries the opportunity to experience Georgian wines directly at their source.
“It is also worth highlighting the numerous wine exhibitions, competitions, and festivals held throughout Georgia under the State Program for the Promotion of Georgian Wine in the Domestic Market,” the Agency noted. “These initiatives aim to promote Georgian wine locally, enhance wine tourism, and cultivate a deeper wine culture within the country.”
During the reporting period, 18 exhibitions and festivals, along with five tastings and competitions, were organised nationwide.
The Agency also continues to support the national marketing programme, co-financing expenses for Georgian wine companies exporting to markets outside the CIS and GUAM countries. In 2025, nine wine producers received a total of GEL 692,969 in co-financing under this initiative.
All these activities are part of the “State Programme for the Promotion of Georgian Wine,” which was allocated a budget of GEL 17.4 million in 2025 — GEL 1.4 million more than the previous year, according to the Agency’s statement.
