Income of Individuals from Rental Properties in Georgia Exceeds 340 Million GEL in January–July 2025

In the first seven months of 2025, individuals in Georgia earned a total of 344 million GEL (approximately $127.4 million) from renting out residential, commercial, and office properties — 12% more than in the same period of 2024, according to statistics from the Revenue Service of the Ministry of Finance, reported by bm.ge.

The figures indicate that the country’s rental market has a seasonal nature. In January 2025, 23.9 thousand people earned income from property rentals, while by July this number had risen to 28.3 thousand.

The average monthly total rental income in 2025 amounted to around 49 million GEL. The lowest figure was recorded in January — 44 million GEL ($16.3 million), while the highest was in July — 52.1 million GEL ($19.3 million).

On average, a landlord earned 1,835 GEL ($680) per month.

According to the service, in July 2025, the number of individuals who officially declared rental income reached 28.3 thousand, which is 2 thousand more than in July 2024. The number of landlords registering rental agreements officially has also increased.
