The Civil Aviation Agency of Georgia has granted Wizz Air permission to launch regular flights on a new route connecting Kutaisi and Venice, Italy.
The Venice–Kutaisi–Venice service is set to begin with the start of the winter navigation season. According to the airline’s application, flights will commence on December 2 and operate twice weekly, every Tuesday and Saturday.
At present, Wizz Air operates flights from Georgia to 23 destinations, offering around 72 weekly services. In the first nine months of this year, the airline carried 1,075,585 passengers, retaining its position as Georgia’s leading carrier in the aviation market.
