
Six Georgian companies are participating in the international exhibition Foodex Japan 2026 in Tokyo with the support of the Ministry of Environment and Agriculture of Georgia, organized by the Rural Development Agency.
The Georgian pavilion was visited by Japan’s Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, Yuhei Yamashita. He was welcomed by Zurab Gozalishvili, Director of the Rural Development Agency, and Teimuraz Lezhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Japan.
According to Zurab Gozalishvili, participation in international exhibitions is an important instrument for increasing exports and entering new markets. He emphasized that the agency continues to develop financing mechanisms aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of Georgian agricultural products.
Foodex Japan 2026 is one of Asia’s largest international trade exhibitions, bringing together around 3,000 companies from more than 70 countries.
