EasyJet Traveller: Ten Reasons to Love Tbilisi

EasyJet, a British low-budget airline published an article about Georgia’s capital Tbilisi in its onboard magazine Traveller titled “10 Reasons to Love Tbilisi.”

The air company puts Tbilisi on its “bucket list for 2025.”

“The Georgian capital is experiencing a surge in popularity. It’s a fascinating city, where the cobbled streets of the old town reflect its long history and the surrounding hills offer a playground for the adventurous.

Positioned along the Silk Road, and having been invaded by several foreign powers over its history, the city’s architecture is a rich patchwork. There’s everything from monumental soviet buildings, such as the Wedding Palace, to the very Parisian Haussmann style of Rustaveli Avenue,” reads the article.

The article provides readers with the information about Georgian cuisine, culture and wine.

“In 2017, fragments of the oldest known qvevri (clay jars for wine production), were analysed, confirming that winemaking has been practised in Georgia for 8,000 years. This technique is still used to produce orange wines,” it says.

EasyJet, a British multinational low-cost airline, will enter the Georgian aviation market in March, 2025. The airline will operate direct flights from London, Geneva, and Milan to Tbilisi International Airport. The inaugural flight from Geneva is scheduled to arrive in Tbilisi on March 31.
