As of April 21, 2025, Georgia’s agri-food exports experienced a remarkable increase of 19%, totalling $56.9 million—an uptick of $9.2 million compared to the previous year. This growth was chiefly fueled by heightened exports of nuts, fruit and vegetable juices, and wine, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture.
Nut exports rose by $5.2 million to reach $19.0 million, juice exports increased by $4.3 million to $5.7 million, and wine exports climbed by $2.3 million to achieve a total of $11.2 million.
Exports to Germany surged by 43%, reflecting a $4.3 million increase in juice exports, which amounted to $5.3 million.
Exports to Italy saw an impressive threefold increase, primarily driven by hazelnut exports, which rose by $4.8 million to $5.9 million.
Azerbaijan also recorded significant growth, with exports increasing by 10% to $4.4 million, largely due to the popularity of non-alcoholic carbonated beverages ($9.0 million) and potatoes ($3.6 million).
Additionally, wine exports to China rose by $1.2 million, bringing the total to $3.2 million.
