Goderdzi Ski Resort, located in the mountainous Adjara region of Georgia, has been crowned the best snow destination in Europe by the travel platform European Best Destinations, the Georgian National Tourism Administration announced last week.
Outshining 12 renowned locations, Goderdzi holds its own against prestigious ski resorts in countries like France, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria, the administration noted.
The resort has been praised for delivering an “exceptional winter experience” to skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts. With “reliable snowfall” from late November to mid-April, Goderdzi offers a lengthy ski season, attracting visitors seeking winter sports and recreation.
One of the resort’s standout features is its “modern infrastructure,” including recent enhancements to accessibility such as newly paved roads and state-of-the-art ski lifts.
Notable additions to the resort include an eight-person gondola and a six-person chairlift, both crafted by Austrian manufacturers, designed to elevate visitor comfort and efficiency on the slopes.
Catering to all skill levels, Goderdzi offers 13 kilometers of pistes and a vertical drop of 690 meters, making it suitable for beginners, families, and experienced skiers alike. Ski lifts operate daily from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing ample time for visitors to explore the resort’s varied terrain.
Beyond its excellent skiing conditions, Goderdzi is celebrated for its “breathtaking scenery.” Surrounded by unspoiled forests and panoramic mountain views, the resort is often regarded as one of Europe’s most picturesque destinations for winter sports and relaxation.
The travel platform also highlighted Goderdzi’s “warm hospitality” and “welcoming atmosphere,” emphasizing that the resort ensures guests “feel at home.”
