Starting May 27, Kazakhstan’s national airline, Air Astana, will introduce a new route at Tbilisi International Airport.
The airline will operate flights on the Atyrau-Tbilisi route three times a week, with tickets already available for purchase on its official website, airastana.com.
Additionally, Air Astana, the largest airline in Central Asia, will offer direct flights from Almaty to Tbilisi throughout the summer season, increasing to nine flights per week. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, the airline will operate two daily flights to the Georgian capital.
From June, seasonal flights on the Almaty-Batumi route will resume three times a week, with a potential increase to five weekly flights during July and August.
Air Astana will also restart flights between Tbilisi and Kazakhstan’s capital in June, operating three times a week.
At Kutaisi International Airport, FlyArystan, Air Astana’s low-cost subsidiary, currently operates flights from Kutaisi to five cities in Kazakhstan. During the summer season, flight frequencies between Kazakhstan and Kutaisi will rise from 10 to 17 per week. FlyArystan provides direct regular flights to Kutaisi from Astana, Almaty, Atyrau, Aktau, and Shymkent.
In 2024, Kazakh airlines accounted for a 3.9% share of the Georgian aviation market. Last year, Georgia welcomed 178,930 international visitors from Kazakhstan.
