
The United Airports of Georgia has announced tenders for the construction of new passenger terminals at Mestia and Telavi airports.
According to the agency, the new terminal at Mestia Airport in the mountainous Svaneti region will have an annual capacity of approximately 50,000 passengers. The new terminal at Telavi Airport, in Georgia’s Kakheti region, is also expected to accommodate up to 50,000 passengers annually.
The construction period is set at 24 months for Mestia Airport and 21 months for Telavi Airport.
“The new terminals will improve the quality of passenger services, support tourism development, and enhance domestic regional mobility,” the agency said.
