Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze has begun his official visit to the United Arab Emirates.
According to the Government Administration, he was welcomed at Abu Dhabi International Airport by Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh, the Minister of State.
During the visit, the Head of Government of Georgia will meet Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance of the UAE.
As part of the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation will be signed with one of the largest development companies, EMAAR, under which a multi-billion dollar investment will be made in Georgia.
Additionally, meetings are planned with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority and its logistics division, the Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which is actively involved in the development of the Middle Corridor. The company is implementing the Tbilisi Dry Port project, which is set to be completed in 2025. Further expansion of cooperation with the company is planned in strategic, logistical and transportation projects.
The Prime Minister of Georgia is traveling to Abu Dhabi with a delegation that includes the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili, Mayor of Tbilisi Kakha Kaladze, Chairman of the Government of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Tornike Rizhvadze and Head of Government Administration Levan Zhorzholiani.
