Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze announced during a municipal government meeting that an additional 200 electric vehicle chargers will be installed across the city.
He confirmed that the auction process for the initiative has been successfully completed, and the winning companies have been selected.
“The selected companies will install smart charging devices at each location at their own expense within eight months of signing the contract and will ensure their uninterrupted operation for the next ten years,” Mayor Kaladze stated.
He emphasized that the installation of electric vehicle chargers is a key part of the city’s transportation policy, aimed at improving Tbilisi’s ecological landscape.
“We are prioritizing environmental improvements in Tbilisi by developing recreational spaces, enforcing stricter regulations on construction sites, and implementing various other measures,” he added.
